New Shangri-la commercial

Had the TV on in the background the other night and something caught my attention - which turned out to be new shangri-la advertisement. I don't know if it will make stay at a Shangri-La in the near future, but nevertheless I was initially rather captivated and quite impressed with the commercial (which is unusual for a person who usually loathes ads).

Pretty long commercial - that'll burn a hole in any advertising budget.

Poignant, perhaps, but otherwise not entirely convincing IMHO.

Lots of ads seem to be really long, and then get shortened for TV to something that’s hard to understand =P Though I think just the last 30 seconds will make sense on TV.

I was really expecting him to find a Shangri-La on the other side of the trees

Yeh when I saw it on TV, it was shorter, but still probably a good minute or so. It was on pay TV.

I don't know, the little-uns were convinced. We had to tell them that wolves would normal eat the guy to unconvince them.
