Thanks for this little gem...I registered last week for my stay at the start of the month and they credited me the 1000 points. I was thinking you had to register BEFORE the stay but it appears not..

Yes but the conversation rate to a frequent flyer program is basically 4-5x as much with SPG

And the earning rate with ICH is 5X SPG on base points, 10 versus 2 per dollar spent (USD), end of the day its much of a muchness, but ICH have much better locations to earn points in Aus than SPG, no presence in BNE/ADL/DRW/CBR.
