I think my question falls fairly one into the domain of this thread.
As a WP flying from Perth to Singapore on JQ and connecting (the next day but within 24 hours) to Kuala Lumpur on Jetstar Asia, can I access the QF/BA J Lounge? (I understand definitely no access to the F Lounge, under the rules.) I believe the answer is yes.
With respect to a QF platinum accessing an international business lounge, the QF website's table on lounge access (
Fly - The Qantas Club - Lounge Access) under Qantas Club and Frequent Flyers says "Member and 1 guest can access lounge any time.^ Guest must be travelling with member." The ^ says "Must be travelling, not necessarily on Qantas, British Airways or Jetstar to access the lounge."
So, to me, it's clear. I'm in.
But jump on over to the JQ website and you get this:
Qantas Club access
All StarClass passengers will have access to the Qantas Club, where one is available at the airport from which they are departing. Economy class passengers travelling on Jetstar (JQ) with:
- valid Qantas Club membership, or
- Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold or Platinum status
will have access to the Qantas Club, where one is available at the airport from which they are departing.
Passengers travelling on Intra-Asia flights operated by Jetstar Asia (3K) or Valuair (VF) do not have access to the Qantas Clubs [emphasis added].
I'd take the QF website information over the JQ website any day (even if it didn't appear in my favour) but, correct me if I'm wrong, is the JQ site no contradicting QF?
And, more to the point, will I be allowed access?
