Asked to describe her late husband, who she called Willi, Gitta Jarant said: "[He was] the best man of the world - good man.
"I [did not] kill my Willi. My Willi is my god. I [have loved] my Willi for 22 years."
There is such a line I could use there.

Why on earth would they be trying to get the body on-board?

I've heard of people dying mid-flight but this is crazy.

I'm hazarding a guess that the cost of transporting a dead body "properly" (using the correct processes) is significantly more expensive.

It does make you wonder what the planned to do with him when they got him to the gate lounge and then onboard,it really is rather bizarre.

Funnily enough “Weekend at Bernie’s” has been advertised lately on one of the Foxtel channels quite a bit. Can’t recall when it’s on, but I only know what movie it is because it’s on soon…

Great idea if you want two meals and twice the number of drinks. 'I'll have a scotch and coke for me and one for my dad for when he wakes up'

And then walk down a single isle 737 or similar whilst trying to carry a body would be near impossible. Its already quite a challenge with two items of carry-on let alone a whole person.

I assumed from the story that it was an airline wheelchair - wouldn't they just pre-board him like any other wheelchair-bound passenger ?

As a bonus the deceased is also entitled to carry-on luggage but shouldnt need to carry much for their own use (maybe some industrial strength deodorant perhaps).

You people are sick :!:

They live in England but were going to Germany. Perhaps the deceased wanted to be buried in Germany. When did they purchase the tickets?

Very strange story.

No just didn't want to be without her "Willi"

From the UK press I've been reading, the general gist of the story is that they somehow got the man into a cab and headed to the airport. When they arrived, they asked for assistance to get him into a wheelchair and the staffer at the airport suspected he was dead (amazing how someone being pale and cold could raise that suspicion!) so raised the concern.

The ladies of course are denying everything and claim he was still alive etc... What a weird story!

Will make for interesting reading once the court case is over (It's illegal to not report a death).

I thought perhaps trying to smuggle him on the plane and then having him 'die' during the flight (perhaps after the cabin service, as suggested)! That way they don't have to get him off - and they don't have to pay to transport the corpse!

They could not have possibly have thought of blaming airline food surely :!:
