Rest areas at Melbourne Airport

I'm flying via Melbourne Airport next month. I'm on Emirates and I have about 6 hours wait very early in the morning. I thought Diners had a lounge there but seems not. Where else can one get a quiet corner for a snooze? Thks

its been a while since I caught an early morning flight from Mel, from memory the airport actually closes for a few hours, at least it did when I was there, you might be better to grab a room at the Hilton, Holiday INN or if really cannot find a couch - Formula 1.

I am sure someone with more recent experience may be able to guide you in what happens lately.

Luckily enough the coffee place there stays open 24 hours there as well, great for that 3am pick me up when I had 6 hours to kill at MEL o'night a couple of years ago...

Just out of interest what are the times you'll arrive and leave?

Also are you on EK all the way through? Or do you transfer to another int or dom flight?

The only hotel connected by covered walkway to the airport, the Hilton Melbourne Airport hotel is 20 minutes from central Melbourne.
