Hi all I'm close to reaching Plat, my Gold runs out 31-12-26, does that mean if i get to plat before this it will also run out on the 31-12-26 ? or does it continue on to the 31-12-27 just trying to work out when the best time would be to click over to Plat

Thanks

When you attain a new tier your status is valid for the following year and the remainder of that year. Don’t forget nights and status points reset at end of the year.

I'm not really up with the ins and outs of the Accor program, I'm currently Gold, on 33 nights and 729 Status Points, and I've got the following offer sittng there - is there any real value in getting 10 extra nights given that I won't hit the 60 nights for Platinum by the end of the year? Given that @markis10 said in his post that nights reset at the end of the year?

If you haven't purchased any Accor cards, you should buy an Accor Explorer card - that gives you 30 status nights (so platinum in your case - meaning free breakfasts and lounge access in the Asia Pacific) and they're throwing in 3000 points (worth about $95) until tomorrow, and you get two BOGOF vouchers...

Buy one, get one free (i.e. if you book at least two nights, the most expensive of them will be free).

(I've just redeemed one at Sofitel Darling Harbour for next year. Came to $345 all up for two nights flexible including breakfast and club floor access as a plat... :) )
