Hi all,
Saw a post on LinkedIn earlier - Qantas have launched a new booking experience on Qantas.com. Currently available on the Sydney-Tamworth route, "with plans to gradually expand to other domestic routes".

Playing around with it, the interface feels more responsive and snappy. Moving through the checkout flow is faster and seems less cluttered. Key details that used to be immediately visible for each flight in the flights list - such as aircraft type, catering, seat pitch - remain available but buried under an extra click on ‘Flight details’ to see for each flight individually - annoying if you want to fly a specific type and there's lots of flights (i.e. trying to quickly identify A321XLR flights on MEL-SYD). Although I also notice Qantas appears to have removed these icons from the old/existing booking engine as well?
One particularly positive change is that immediately after selecting flights, you are taken to a review screen where the fare bucket and class code are finally shown before payment.

Be interesting to see how this evolves/changes as it is rolled out more widely.
