AA went back and swapped out the transparent divider with this and also added in the increased privacy in between the seats.

While it would be nice to have more privacy in J on Virgin - there is 0.01% chance of them doing this, and to be honest for the price you can get Virgin J either paid or upgrade, they are perfectly serviceable.
something like this is what I thought va were working on. I don't understand why this version required so long to be approved that is inferior to qantas already approved design.

Exploring options between max10 and 321 for future fleet so the above might be a thing 😄
Yeah who knows. Some Airlines (like the KLM/Air France some time ago went from the 737 to Airbus yet Lufthansa seems to be going the other way. I guess it depends on negotiation as well. Funny how Easyjet stays loyal to Airbus yet Ryanair to the 737 versions. With VA who knows!!

They would need to scale up an Airbus fleet to make to worthwhile, and by the time you have done that you probably would still have achieved more efficiencies by still adding more MAX into the fleet.

I think they will be parking their capital in more NG to MAX conversions over the coming decade. I’d like to see them also invest in a new GDS, that’s probably a 5-10 year project.

There's no point in Max conversions when they can convert the -10 to -8 but then that eliminates any -10 they were after. With it not getting certified then that makes it a big problem for domestic trunk routes where they want it to fly.

They apparently want a 200 seater aircraft. A widebody is probably too big and the next thing under it would be a 321 which would mirror what JQ can hold and how far it can fly.

Would be nice if they made it happen - refreshing to fly on something other than the 737 😆

A321N would be awesome but I think the lead times are a little long. I’d imagine Airbus would look after a new customer and perhaps they wouldn’t be waiting as long.

MAX10 is built for short high density missions so I think VA needs to just be patient. MAX is just becoming a joke now. Boeing now putting together another software update to fix the latest issue to try and get it certified again. Someone was telling me the other day about all the checklist updates the MAX has had over the last few years. Crazy stuff.

Lead times are crazy. But I guess we don't know the capacity of VA's current lessor/ if QR would ruffle some frames if needed.

If they probably have the training material from the A320 then it would be a lot easier.
