The annoying one for myself and any other Amex Plat users is that any points transferred from Amex MR will not count towards the credit card status credits. The point total per category also show excluded earns, such as credit card signup bonuses
I assume this is because direct earn programs pay an enrolment fee, and MR doesn't.The annoying one for myself and any other Amex Plat users is that any points transferred from Amex MR will not count towards the credit card status credits.

Nor do you technically pay an enrolment fee with the Amex Ultimate QANTAS card, but it would be included. Also given that the Amex platinum is the only card that allows MR -> QANTAS transfers in Australia it would be reasonable to assume that there is some payment made for the Amex Plat to allow that (otherwise they would allow it on other MR cards).I assume this is because direct earn programs pay an enrolment fee, and MR doesn't.
I think they’ve gone to QF’s annual report and divided total “loyalty” revenue by points issued.I’m surprised by that valuation! I thought it was around 1c per point paid by major retailers to buy points from airlines! Or maybe that’s USD 1c?
Same here, and also surprised at the redemption value. I guess it depends how things are presented on a spreadsheet, but those rewards point are used for distressed inventory that would otherwise be unused. This, plus points expiry, plus average punter using it for redemption in the .5c per point range, not sure how the redemption of .7 to .9c per points has been calculated.I’m surprised by that valuation!
