The annoying one for myself and any other Amex Plat users is that any points transferred from Amex MR will not count towards the credit card status credits.

I assume this is because direct earn programs pay an enrolment fee, and MR doesn't.

Nor do you technically pay an enrolment fee with the Amex Ultimate QANTAS card, but it would be included. Also given that the Amex platinum is the only card that allows MR -> QANTAS transfers in Australia it would be reasonable to assume that there is some payment made for the Amex Plat to allow that (otherwise they would allow it on other MR cards).
