Qantas Club Life Membership Expiry!?

Didn't think one could buy entry into that back then ( pre frequent flyer) other than buying pointy end ticket.

Can't remember, also remember the Ansett Pass, they obviously had Golden Wing but also Ansett Pass.

I really don't remember, but in relative terms at the time it was a lot of money.

And more to the point - which airline's membership did you join in the 1970s - Qantas or TAA? And what was the program called?

My card says Member since January 1982. That was back in the TAA days and I was a very early adopter.

That makes sense, because I know that Ansett started the Golden Wing Lounges in 1981.

TAA’s Flight Deck was the early 80s (like late 82j.

I remember Lifetime membership at $440 in around 1985/6? which at the time was quite a lot of money!

I think I paid about $500 around 1985. I joined all the senior staff. They are very grateful now

When I obtained Qf LT Gold back in 2016, I emailed Qf to ask for a pro rate refund of my purchased Qf Club lifetime membership which I purchased around 2001-2 for about $2000....they refused

I purchased my Life Time QC Membership in 1998 for $3,895. ( never had any previous lounge membership ).
Did I pay too much, or have you forgotten what it was really sold for ?

I think mine was a discounted LT partner membership ; could have also been a discounted corporate rate via my professional association but I thinkk it was the former.
