Not actually flying, but whilst staying at our hotel in Perth.
There was the Wallabies rugby union team staying at the same hotel. Had their own dining area and recreation room. But we encountered them in the general foyer and lifts.
Some of them are very big boys! But very polite and would always say hello.
Unfortunately , not being a Rugby fan I didnt know any of them by name

Back in the early 90s to the first few years of this Century The Wallabies had a traing camp in Caloundra in a resort owned bt Norm Provan. They loved their thai food and at at the restaurant we frequently ate at. It was on the second floor. One night as I was leaving George Gregan was coming up the stairs. I waited for him and when he reached the step blow me we were eye to eye. And the size of his neck!
I nearly said but on the field you look like a midget up against al the other guys.

Yeah I'm not a rugby person, being originally from Vic in the days when VFL was the only thing anyone cared about. But I'm aware of George Gregan and always wondered how such a "little guy" managed among the giants. I can add that I was in a hotel in Fremantle in the mid nineties when the first post-apartheid Springboks team arrived including many ex players in the press entourage. All giants. I remember them laughing at the local Aussies stopping at red lights etc which apparently you just didn't dare do in South Africa because of carjacking etc
