Also the status bonus on points is only on the base amount.
It's a bit weird when flying is actually a very poor way of earning points.
I've earned almost 4 times as many from credit cards this membership year!

The ability to earn points from credit cards is going to get significantly worse. I reckon Points Club was killed as most probably relied on credit card signup bonuses and/or earning from significant regular credit card spend that will be much harder to achieve going forward.

If you get Points Club through say getting 1 point a dollar on $100k, but will get 0.4 points a dollar going forward that won’t make your spending jump to $250k, plus there will be limits in place limiting the amount of spend that earns too.

With points becoming harder to earn, double points will become more attractive especially if you have LTG and WP is out of reach or will be attained/retained without needing DSC, and will still be flying revenue QF flights.

There's some strange shenanigans going on with one of my bookings.

One of my domestic showings has been cancelled by the theatre chain however I only know this because I checked my bookings in the app and it shows as cancelled. However checking the website, said booking is completely missing and I've received no formal email or notification relating to this cancellation.

The booking was for May 2027 but it's weird it would be cancelled without any form of communication. Looks like I have to endure calling the theatre chain to get to the bottom of this fiasco.

Regular bookings - no special tricks.
