Revolut card Ultra plan

Insurance is run by Chubb. Looks like a moderately stripped back version of Amex Platinum Charge, if you have that (ie significantly inferior, but much better than nothing).

I think they really need to step it up - especially after other CCs have screwed up their insurance products, this is a very good and clear opportunity for revolut - plus, paying $100/m and not having the best insurance is diabolical.

1000 per annum is v expensive, but Platinum Charge is even more expensive at 1450, so i guess one can understand it might not be as good.

Anyone manage to get the card? I applied and got knocked back. I've never been knocked back for a card before
Interesting. I’ve got the credit card. I’m on the Ultra Plan

My wife applied. She’s on the basic plan. She got rejected. She’s got a credit rating in the ‘excellent’ band and also never been knocked back before 🤷‍♂️

Tell us more about your experience, use cases, perks etc.
I don't use it for paying insurance or school fees as the small transactions I've tried have earned no points. I use it for paying most of bills etc since I'm after the Avios points which are 1ppd compared to the AMEX Platinum which is 0.75ppd. I like that the points get credited instantly rather than having to wait for the transaction to clear or in the case of HSBC waiting until the statement comes out.

interesting that insurance and even school fees earn no points!

It’s in the T&S

Parking doesn’t earn either 🤷🏻‍♂️
Excluded transaction types include the following:

payments of rent, real estate management fees, utilities (including electricity and water) and in relation to insurance;

donations and payments to charitable, religious, political and governmental organisations;

purchases of cigars, cigarettes and similar products;

payments for parking and logistics;

school or educational fees;

postal and procurement service payments;

cleaning and maintenance services;

lottery or gambling purchases;

bank charges, tax payments or payments in relation to legal proceedings or fines; and payments relating to other financial services and investments.

I got no points and charged interest for a cash advance for a gift card purchase I did through giftz.com.au (it is because the gift card was billed directly by Blackhawk Network, no cash advance fee when I've bought the same gift cards with AMEX or HSBC though). The other gift card providers have earned points and not had any cash advance interest so far.
