The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue before.

So a while ago I booked an Emirates Classic Flight Reward ex-SIN with the associated fees and taxes paid in SGD. I then made a change to the booking which incurred additional fees and taxes, which the phone agent at the time said had to be charged in AUD (she was unable to charge me in SGD, the original currency of the booking). The change was processed and I received a new e-ticket.

Today I wanted to make another change to the booking, however the agent said the system was not letting her as the fare currency was mismatched. She couldn't get around the error (the booking appears to be "locked") and she has put through a request to the support team to see if they can override the error. She said she would call me back when she hears back from the support team.

I don't know what to make of this situation and am hoping they'll be able to resolve it and make the change. @madrooster, might there be some specific setting or process I can mention for the agent to look at in the system when I next call up?

What has happened to the QF website today?
The headers and top level menus have disappeared.
Navigation is basically impossible.
Cannot login either!
The site is unusable.

Its fine in the app on my phone.
It's also fine in Firefox on my phone.
It works in Edge on my PC too.
Seems the problem is only with Firefox on Windows.
I have closed the browser and reopened it with no effect.
Not sure what MBP is!

Did you try incognito mode? If it fixes it then it points to your cookies that need cleaning.

Methinks your problem is Windows...

Ah it is also working in Firefox on my MBP.
So I agree the problem seems to be specific to Firefox on Windows, but it's a new problem as of today.
So it seems likely QF changed something overnight.

I feel conflicted.

I want to just blame Windows.
But blaming QF is tempting...
Like most things in life, it isn't a binary choice.
We can blame both.

"On peut avoir le buerre, l'argent du buerre, le lait, la latière et le cul de la latière!"

Short, colloquial translation: "We can have our cake and eat it too".
Longer, more literal translation: "We can have the butter, the money from the butter, the milk, the milking cow, and the rump steak from the milking cow".
(Though rump steak is a polite translation.)
