Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

Yes, new years day for me as well - I was expecting 1400 retain but only 1200. So the 1400 applies from what date? Sorry, I haven't been paying attention.
Probably safe to assume you’ll need the higher target from 01 Sep 2027.

Otherwise, there’s going to be all sorts of wailing and gnashing of teeth, clutching of pearls, and tiara throwing if they change the goal posts part way thru.

But you will get SC rollover above and beyond 1400 SCs…

It would make the most sense for Qantas to create their own branded credit card for this proposition and use a white labeled credit card product from an existing provider (i.e. a bank). That way, it will allow Qantas to move their product from one bank to another, without customer disruption, if another bank offers Qantas better terms on the back end white label product.
Like they already do with the Qantas Money branded cards.

Upcoming on the ground SC. Anyone worked out how we can easily / cheaply earn 1000 points on the carbon offset category? This category seems out of reach.

Are they actually issued by NAB? I had no interaction at all with NAB when I got mine a few years ago, although I realise they are in the background.
National Australia Bank Limited (ABN 12 004 044 937, AFSL and Australian Credit Licence 230686) ("NAB") is the Credit Provider and Issuer of Qantas Money Credit Cards on behalf of Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901.

Hi, so my year is complete in June 27, will I retain gold with 600 status credits?
That will depend on when QF announce the implementation date and whether they allow FF ers to use the existing 600 target in the ‘current membership year’ or set a hard implementation date.
Watch this space for implementation in ‘early 2027’

They started as Citi issued cards and then nab took over their consumer businesses in Australia

I just rolled over from 1/9 as gold pc+ so my retain target is only 500. Typical as this year is one with a lot of OW travel on CX, AS and BA! Year after next I won’t make gold I don’t reckon… so I’ll enjoy the lounges on these trips 😂 🥂

Yes, you should already see that old target in your account.

If, however they do retrospectively apply the new targets part way through our member years (I’m 31 July), you hope there’s some pro-rata adjustment.

Agree. Shame I used points to buy my Green Tier offset… I will pay in cash for all upcoming flights, pending the announcement, to be as ready as I’ll ever be… if I can figure out how

Have Qantas said somewhere it will be 1000 per category or is that just the assumption because that is what they used before?

Whilst I was assuming it would likely be 1000 for most categories I was assuming the carbon offset is likely to basically match what was in green tier, i.e. offset one flight
