Hello, I apologize if this has been discussed. I made a booking today being last day of promotion and wanted double sc. Just after booking I suddenly realized I may have not registered for it. I then immediately registered. . I rang Qantas, was transferred and he at first did not seem to understand, then looked up and said it would be ok. But others have said have to do it before- so I am confused?

Wouldn't trust what you were told for a split second.

I would personally cancel, ensure registration, and rebook.
Thank you. I just rang again, and explained to a different operator and I suggested I wanted to cancel and re-book - but was told I would get the credits. So hope so. Thanks

Caveat emptor.

I wouldn't believe them if they told me this and I was on the phone to Hobart. After all, it was a young man at Hobart who told me my plane for QF30 in December 24 was delayed because of "engineering issues". No. It's because it was stuck in Seoul due to the attempted coup.

Probably. The first one def had accent, the second person, a woman, not much of accent so it was hard to tell. But she seemed more definite anyway - and did not pass me on or look up. So hopefully....

🤔. Anyway, I wouldn’t trust what they said about the DSC being credited. But that’s just me.

It’s fine. As long as you register and book within the promo period

They must register in the Qantas App or on qantas.com for this offer, either before or after booking an eligible flight by 2 September 2026, for travel between 3 September 2026 and 14 August 2027.[1] With over 65 destinations across Australia[2] to choose from and no limit to the number of flights you can book, make every moment with Qantas twice as rewarding for your customers.

The clarifier's there for agency connect - why not put it up on the main site as well, me wonders.

Let's just all remember that they're crediting DSCs on revenue fares as though they were reward tickets. Not entirely sure I'd trust them to understand that A | B prior to B | A === exactly the same for the rules on the back end.

Ooh that is good to know. I don’t think it was always like that in the past though. Or if it was, I missed it. That makes things much more relaxed.

Well, I'm guessing you're like me and don't read the pages they write specifically for travel agents, matey.

Been like that for a while I believe - since you’ve had the option to change your mind Double Points or DSC - toggle back and fourth but the final choice sticks to all bookings made during the promo booking window.
