Reading the title, I didn't see that one coming.

I thought that the chicken that Flashware ate at our first outing in Venice was pretty expensive compared to anything FR would throw up, but this one takes the cake.

I wonder where is this place where the competition HQ is.

I also wonder whether the said infuriated passenger will actually demand that the money be given to him even if he has digested the evidence that he won.

I also wonder what nutritional value and/or poisons information would be applicable to consuming the scratch card.

Wow, what stupidity!

Luckily you can vote on where his money goes, here. I chose a mental health charity.

To be honest, I don't see how FR came up with that damned list.

1, 2 and 3 sound completely unfounded (apologies in advance if this discriminates against said people).

4 and 5 are the only plausible ones, and...Mental Health Charity....wouldn't that just be FR itself?

FR have been pretty good at pushing the ad boundaries before (e.g. their first ads against Sabena). Do you think they'll do it with this guy and his eating of the ticket?

So the airline knows who the winner was, knows how much he won, his ticket winning ticket was witnessed by multiple airline employees to the extent that they are happy to count the ticket as won - but they wont pay the punter...

It is no different to someone winning a contest where the prize is a voucher or credit to spend at some company, but then they lose the voucher or credit before they can spend it (much less let alone eat the voucher ).

He effectively gave up the right to the prize when he ate the ticket. So be it. (Unless the T&Cs of the competition had no stipulation about how to claim the prize of that size and that wanting the EUR 10,000 there and then was a legitimate means of claiming his prize).

Crikey I know some airline food is awful but that's going a bit far:rolleyes:.
Sort of reminds me of the Mythbusters "Cereal box" episode where they tested the myth that eating the box your cornflakes came in was of more nutritional value than the cereal.
Maybe he thought the ticket tasted better than Ryanair food.

Even heard it on the radio yesterday afternoon, good story for people to hear at the end of a long day I guess.
