Air Asia Website Broken

Cannot currently make any bookings because of a bug in their new website.

I was trying to make a booking this afternoon and couldn't. Phone the reservations centre and all they could suggest was to try again later (the programmers are working on it!).

I do worry about this airline, particularly after their withdrawal for the Abu Dhabi route (which has cost me hundreds of dollars).

Seems like they have a death wish.

touh wood - my current holiday next month is the 1st so far where i've not had a schedule change by AirAsia.

Still 3 weeks before flying out, so anythings possible

I've foudn the wesite generally reliable, except when they ahve a sale, but then JQ usually metls durign their big sales too.

Strange that no one else seems to care that the Air Asia website is down (check flyertalk to confirm, if you doubt it) for the last 2 days of their "promo". Just co-incidence?

I guess it just shows a general lack of interest here in the Air Asia airline.

A few weeks ago I happened to be at Melbourne Airport when the 1am service to KUL was lining up to check in....95% of PAX were Malaysian/Indonesian students flying home...it was very obvious, while the remaining PAX were backpackers.

I guess this sums up their core market.

My gripe with the Air Asia site was that I joined their program purely for the purpose of checking award availability, due to the on-again // off-again situation at the Qantas site. I am trying to tack on a HKG/SGN return award on the way back from the UK in January next year, but all I can glean from Qantas is that my "requested entity is too large", whereas the Air Asia site tells me that awards in that region up to June this year are generally available.

All-in-all I find the Qantas error message more enlightening!

I'm sure someone here said that actual award availabililty was searchable on the Air Asia site, or was that true in the past but not the present? Like Qantas have they abandoned their internet customers and expect them to call and cop the booking fees for award flights? I hope not because I have a rather pathetic balance after redeeming 3 seats to the UK and simply can't afford to throw them away.

Are you perhaps confusing Air Asia with Asia Miles.

Air Asia is an airline, and the subject of this thread.

Asia Miles is a program run by Cathay Pacific, and seems to be what you are talking about.

OR ....

*the website is working perfectly for them (is for me)

*they already have >10 airasia flights booked for the next 8 months so don't need to book any more (I don't have more holidays than that!)

*they have flown >20 sectors with them in the last few years and NEVER had a problem, bigger than a 15min delay (well I sat next to a fat guy once, but that's not exactly their fault).

Soooo it could be that instead. Either way.
