I got the BankSA version in early September. Had the same issue when first statement came (plus the 90k points). The earn for 'everyday' spend (which is 5 specific categories) is 0.8, and the earn for everything else is 0.5. Most of my purchases were not classified as 'everyday' even though they should have been. My average was just over 0.6 as well.

Points cycles never seem to correspond will the billing cycle on cards I have owned, so it is hard to reconcile. You probably received those points eventually.

Or how long the bonus points take to land. (I know, "up to 12 weeks".) I was needing the points by end of Sep forPC+. Card approved on Saturday but yet to arrive, so I can say it will be at least 5 days.
Edit: looking a couple of posts back, someone had the points in one statement, so fingers crossed.

Same for Mrs Rich (Bank of Melbourne) - first statement received 21 days after activating with points ladning immediately. Then one more Everyday Rewards transfer and PC+ reached. Mission accomplished!

The fees and earn rates are being updated as of 30th September, basically the same as the Westpac-branded cards.

Yep, makes the fee $450 all up (for second year onwards, anyway). Not great for anyone waiting for the second year 60k points.

Yep, I'm still in the exclusion periods for both the Westpac and St George cards, but next time round I'm seriously considering keeping them for the second year. But maybe those offers will be gone by the time I'm eligible again in February.

That's amazing that you have all of it approved in the last 3 months, especially the exclusion period for most banks has been extended to 2 years.

The banks must have relaxed all the CC applications because last year I kept getting rejected for CC applications. I've just got MyCard Velocity offer approved and I may apply for another one next month, and I still have Virgin Money High Flyer, HSBC *A, NAB Rewards Signature in my wallet .....

I've never done a second year with any cards, as there's always been better pickings. Might have to reconsider

Just jumped into this card to get the 90k before the Oct 1 apocalypse. (who knows maybe even hang around for the 60k in year 2 if things turn really pear shaped) had some issues with the application process only because i had previously been a customer i apparently still had a customer number ( i had no idea what it was). took me an hour on hold to obtain that number. after that lodged application and was immediately approved. no payslips, income verification, nothing. easiest/most instant application process I've done in a while. tossing up whether there are any other cards worth applying for to get bonus points on before D Day, but am still inside the 24 months from all the big banks. qantas money looks like the only one and that's just dropped to 40k so just not worth it at $350...

Thank you for your post - it provided the impetus I needed to apply. I can confirm that they did not do any income checks. They asked for income (bizarrely after tax) and offered to verify income by contacting your bank. If you reject this they say they will ask for payslips later, but in the event they don't.

One word of caution. If you have had a card with this group previously they will require a Customer Access Number to proceed with the application. I did not have one and there is no way to retrieve it online without an active card. The only way around this was to pop into a physical branch with your old card and ID - and they will give you your CAN. Then you can set up online banking and apply online.

I was approved instantly despite having had a few rejections from other banks in the past when my financial situation was actually more healthy.
