QF Platinum Recognition on flights

The J service can be a bit slow to get going but that is clearly excessive. Let us know how you get on...
Well, overall it was a good flight.

They probably took half an hour before there was much movement but once they got going, it was full on!
They came out with the trolley combining food and drinks serving in seat order. We were in 2E/F and the girl apologised profusely that they only had the chicken left. She said that catering out of MEL she often only has three meals of one type which are the most popular.
As we had had a few hours dining in the F lounge, we were happy with just some nibbles and drinks. She continually offered drink top ups and was friendly and pleasant to deal with.

There was no mention of being platinum. The bloke across from me in 2C did seem to be getting plenty of attention. I could not work out if he was known to her or maybe someone "famous" or maybe a P1. I did feel a bit sorry for the folks in row 3 because there seemed to be a lot of chat from 2C that was holding things up a bit.

I would lodge a complaint re the lack of meal choice, while it’s a small thing it’s significant when it’s inJ with a small cabin. You will get point compensation but more importantly let Qantas know it’s a poor experience for a premium flight. Eventually these complaints will get noticed!

Got my most personable and engaging greeting yet on QF3 SYD-AKL yesterday. All NZ-based crew and all seemed to be friendly, capable and enjoying their jobs, with the CSD setting the tone.

He was a 50 something Aucklander with black-rimmed glasses and a good line of easy banter. Had a couple of chats with him in the course of the flight and it just felt like talking to a friend. That's Plat recognition done right.

Yes I have given this feedback a few times now and was given a decent amount of points (which I did not specifically ask for) although the amount of points has varied! Aah Qantas - consistently inconsistent ™️

I had nothing personalised in J to and from LAX from Australia. On the way back, the CSM was super nice and did stop to seemingly say hi to everyone down the aisle though.
