Appears to be starting from $150 for 5 courses up to $250 for full menu with gourmet ingredients. I'm assuming this is inclusive of matching wines.

Oh, wine is extra on top. Ouch price, lucky for me I am not a heavy drinker (I probably couldn't manage 10 pours of different wine).

Although, if one goes the full 10 courser, then adds just the "normal" and not premium range, $400 per head for a dinner like that isn't awfully bad.
I can't see me finding that someone special that I would need to spend that much money to impress them. So a pass for me on Vue De Monde anytime this century unless someone else was paying....

Oh well another time-Vue de Monde was booked out 4 weeks from now.

One of my best birthdays ever was spent at Cafe di Stasio in Melbourne.

Lunch started at 12.30 and went through 4pm as we enjoyed all the specials and quite a lot of wine.

Perhaps not in the same style as Vue de Monde but well worth the visit if Vue de Monde is booked out.

While I understand your sentiment, doing one of these is on my to do list :)

Go for it.

I don't think I will ever get through my to do list as some of the things on the to do the list will be harder to achieve than winning Lotto. :(

While not having eaten at Vue de Monde, I have had rather nice degustation menus before, and can see the value in it. I probably wouldn’t wine match though, as I don’t drink white ;)

I think it's time to stop thinking about Angelina Jolie, mate.

There is no reason to stop thinking about someone like that. ;)

But Johnk did come up with a very important point; there are always going to be unachievable things in your life.

Glad someone else thinks the same way, even when it can be a complete waste of your thinking time.:-|

Mat isn't the biggest fan of white either but agreed that some of the dishes worked perfectly with white as red would overpower the more delicate flavours. We ended the evening discovering that we quite enjoyed some wines that we wouldn't have thought to order otherwise.

There are a few others above her on the list. ;)

Seriously it is simple things like having getting married and having children, cruising around the world on a luxury liner (something like 6 months and well over $200,000 possibly more) and then complex things like going into space, visiting other planets, galaxies, and most important of all to meet our creator.

It does not hurt to dream or wish for what appears to be the impossible. Hope is what keeps us going....

White hurts my teeth, I’d gladly drink a bottle if it wasn’t for that fact :p

Gah! That took too long.

Just fixed my Euro Trip gallery on FT Galleries after loading a new set of photos caused bogus directories, misdirected links and more to appear.

It was a mess to try and follow and the fix was very tedious, but it is done. So help me God it won't happen again.....

OK have my posting rate to 1.00 now.just got to keep it there.
Very easy. All you have to do is make one post a day. :p

I would have been concerned if you had to make ~7 posts a day to maintain a posting rate. ;)

Mine's currently: 3.68 - I wonder how I can make 3 posts (and .68 of a post) each day to ensure it is maintained? ;)
