Refused Drink Service on Qantas

Also once refused entry to a Sydney pub for "being intoxicated" when I was completely sober. Apparently the bouncer saw me stumble while walking towards the venue. He was actually quite polite about it and said it's NSW law or something like that.

Similar situation here when I was out with a group. I'd had a few but was nowhere near "intoxicated". We had a couple of folks who were dead sober and a few who were... let's just say "well on their way." Security didn't give the more inebriated folks a second glance, but were quick to check on the rest of us. Go figure?

Other than before takeoff (if offered) / a pre-meal drink (ie. w/ nuts) / during actual meal service, I've never requested for any drinks (alcohol) as I've felt it's not really offered or available outside of meal service times.

With that being said, whenever I've been on QF business and during actual meal service time, they've always been quite happy to keep pouring, I've had to politely tell them that I've already had enough on a few occasions.

How often / how many people actually request for alcoholic drinks on-demand / outside of meal service? I suspect lots?

Meanwhile on a 50 minute BA flight ....yes I think Australia is getting worse as a nanny state. Also I agree with earlier post about MH and the seat belt sign being on ....worse than SQ. ..and all this not before noon in Aussie. Seriously!!
