Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

I feel like the program changes will be neutral or slightly positive for me. I typically earn 800-900SC's a year and rarely get the loyalty bonus as I fly a bit of OW as well. IMO the Green Tier is already gone after it changed last year for the worse. So, I'm thinking I'll get ~100SC's on the ground and ~100SC's from rollover to retain.... so need 500Sc's a year to retain, which with DSC's is easy to do.

My main concern is I'm a few years away from LTG and want to hit that before that is enhanced too much.

And me too from now (37k lifetime). It's nice to have 2 years banked, but then it's a long time until the next milestone at 45k - maybe not enough to keep me rusted on to QF.

At 41K SCs lifetime, I feel the same. Another 4K is too much of a stretch to go out of my way to chase at my age. Covid stalled my DONEx's and I'm unlikely to do any more.

Reckon it would be a fascinating research assignment to compare how many of these long time QF LTG folk would be close to BAEC LTG had they invested in that program instead.
Someone like yourself may have already reached it with your travel patterns.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but in an interview done with Executive Traveller, Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance says the PC / PC+ benefit of Status Credits on Classic Reward flights is being put somewhere else into the QFF program, and is staying in some form.

The ability to earn Status Credits on Classic Reward flights is one prized perk of Points Club membership, and Qantas says this isn’t going away.

It’s just a matter of determining exactly where it fits into the broader Qantas Frequent Flyer status landscape.

“We are looking for a new home for that benefit,” Glance confirms.

“We’re aware that it’s a much-loved benefit and will look at a way to implement it again in the future.”

It also looks like "on the ground vouchers" that are being rolled out into the full program may go beyond the current hotel / Qantas Wine vouchers given out as part of PC / PC+.

I'm not getting too excited about it right now. It's Qantas we're talking about, right?
