Emirates will launch another fifth-freedom route out of Singapore from 1 May 2024, this time to Cambodia with daily DXB-SIN-PNH flights using a 3-class Boeing 777-300ER.

Could be a fun route to fly!

Hopefully this route doesn't have the same fate as the SIN-PEN route, although that one was very much covid-affected.

Wonder why it's operating via SIN instead of BKK previously?

I wonder how much demand there actually is to / from Phnom Penh.

I'd imagine that EK would have done some numbers etc, and they must have stacked up okay to resume to PNH via SIN.

Would give SQ a run for its money on that route.

The Flight number it carries is EK348/349. It was the code for the DXB-CMB-SIN sortie previously prior to COVID

Flying PNH-SIN tonight and EK has contracted the Plaza Premium lounge for both eligible passengers and the crew during their 4 hour layover. My boarding pass was stamped "Alcoholic Drinks For Airlines Invited Guest"upon entry.

I was transiting SIN the other day at about 13:00 connecting to PER on Qantas (QF72) which departs at 18:45.

The Qantas lounges open at 14:30.

I checked the Emirates website and noted that their lounge was open 12:30 to 15:30 for their Phnom Penh (KTI) flight.

So I used my Qantas WP status to access the Emirates lounge until about 14:45. There were only 2 other guests in the lounge. The hot buffet was closed but cook-to-order seemed available. The cold buffet was stocked. And all drinks were available.

It’s an option if you are a bit too early for the Qantas lounges and have Qantas ststus. :)
