QF Double Status Credits February 2026 Promo

That is a very interesting tip. NZ status runs in my view, as a frequent visitor to Auckland anyway,, are way cheaper than going anywhere else in business. Yesterday I was looking at SYD-HND in April I think and the cheapest ONE way in economy to Japan was $2,300, which is insane as you would probably do a return in economy for half that price. Trouble is it was only flex fares left, which are considerably over priced always (corporates no doubt get a discounted rate).
You can do one way Business Auckland to Japan for $2500

Apologies if some smart person has already added this, if you're booking rewards flights as a Points Club member during DSC, make sure you're over the line for PC for when you're actually flying.

If you aren't you won't get any status (eek, quickly orders silly amount of wine).

And if you're going for Green Tier, use this amazing website: Qantas Wine Bonus Points Tracker & Calculator (Claude is really too if you're lazy/pressed for time).

I did the overnight AKL airport last year November.

You have to wait landside until 4:30am because that’s when immigration opens.

It’s a bit of a drag but doable - at least McDonals is open 24 hours.
I'll be doing it in CHC instead of AKL. I've booked a refundable room next to the airport for about $100 at the moment which I can at least use to have a shower and maybe get a couple of hours of sleep. If I'd been very cheap I could have gone for a ~$30 pod.

If I get to CHC
IM Riding the trams. Bought annual pass so that’ll be free.
The late flight though me as no local bus available to get to the city for $3-4

There are showers in the manaia lounge!

I was looking to use some points for domestic flights (PointsClub+ member), but couldn't find anything worthwhile. Qantas have done their homework this year and have nailed things down quite tight. So I'll pass on that.

Why waste your money/points on going somewhere you wouldn't otherwise, for an inflated cost? I'm Plat until Sep 27 and I'm just looking to extend that to 2028. With my current bookings I'll already have 600 SC's, so might as well just wait and see what turns up over the next 18 months. Something surely will (it always does).

Good to know. Unfortunately I get in at 00:20 and the Manaia lounge doesn't open until 04:15. So seems to either be rent a cheap room or loiter around the airport landside late at night.
I've been in that situation myself at AKL and have just got a room at the Ibis Budget (it's walkable).

So no CR flights on the specific days your were looking? Generally, there’s been no change in CR availability during DSC promos.

I haven’t been looking at domestic, but non-domestic, I pointed out to others here some decent F CRs in the coming months.

OK, how about CBR-MEL-OOL? Normally 29,000 pts in J, but now only available for 43,800. CBR-SYD-MCY is available for 29,000 pts, but I don't want to go there.

What Qantas has done in this case is to treat the 2 sectors as separate bookings, rather than one through one. The website is rife with this sort of thing, especially ex CBR.
