Booking reward flight ex Eze (Buenos Aires) with Qf points

Hi KPC - How did your flight go? Were you able to through check your bags from Sydney > EZE? I'm doing this exact QF 27 >> KL702 next week.

How did the transfer at SCL go?

@Atleastonce Did you have any issues with your QF to KL transit at Scl? Im on one ticket like you with 1 hr 55 min transit at Scl and am wondering what would happen if Qf 27 was late and I missed the KL connection to Eze. Did they check bags all rhe way through? How long does it take to physically do the transit at Scl? Is there a security sceen and immigration check at Scl transit? At this stage I don't have a visa for Chile...should I get one?

We did this flight yesterday: Qf 27 --> KL 702. With flight retimings, our transit at Scl was down to 1 hr 40 mins....meaning any delay on the inbound would risk our connection at Scl.

We departed Syd 5 mins late but arrived in Scl 30 mins early....it took just under 30 mins to walk at normal pace to transfer security (they xray your bags) and find our way to the Skyteam lounge...near gate E1...need to take lift down 1 level. Nothing special food wise at this lounge but had clean toilets, bottled water to take, somewhere comfortable to sit and free WiFi.

Luggage was checked through to Eze from Syd and priority tags worked as our bags were amongst the first to appear.

Yes! We got 2, 1 each I had no idea what they were and thought it was a cake. He looked shocked when I asked what sort of cake it was!
