Credit Card Offers CommBank Ultimate Awards Card: 100K award points – potentially fee free

Clarification on the monthly bonus points according to the T&Cs:

25,000 CommBank Awards points or 17,500 Qantas Points will be awarded every month (statement period) $3,000 or more is spent on eligible purchases for 4 consecutive statement periods. Maximum bonus points available is 100,000 CommBank Awards points or 70,000 Qantas Points. The first eligible spend period will commence from the day your account is opened, up to the end of your second statement period. After this date, the offer spend requirements will align to each statement period that follows until exhausted.

Noting that the first statement period is quite early, giving the cardholders time to get the physical card. Although there is the option to get it digitally now so you can start spending it early. So given that the second statement period goes for a month, that is about 45 days of spend. After that, it will be $3000 a month required to get the bonus points.

Hilarious applied to this card and got it. They don’t make it easy of course. My wife who actually works for CBA and has no credit card at the moment actually got rejected…..she earns pretty decent too

Actually I got it with just 2 payslips, was quite easy. Surprisingly.

I'm currently churning my way through this one, just completed the second statement.

From some previous posts, it looks like folks have had to wait many months to get bonus points? I can see Ts & Cs saying up to 90 days after the end of the statement period (from Our Ultimate Awards Credit Card - CommBank)
Bonus points will be credited within 90 days of each eligible statement period where the spend criteria has been met and will appear on your statement as ‘BONUS AWARDS’.

Have people had these come through automatically, or have you had to go chasing?

My first batch of points came on the second statement after I met the spend target - and then each statement thereafter - for four monthly bonuses.

This aligns with what the CBA awards team mentioned - because your first statement is likely <1 month in duration, they review your "first month spend" after your second statement. Pretty fair in my books.

I just received my second statement, so will report back on when I get my first batch of bonus points. Base points have already posted.

Ah no, the first statement was less than a month and so not eligible for the bonus. The second statement period is the first one for which you are eligible for a bonus, and it came with the third statement. Does that make sense?
