In Brisvegas to visit our first grandchild and went to Beccofino in Tenerife.

For me the duck and tomato ragu with a glass of Montepuliciano. Absolutely delicious and so much duck in the pasta.

For mrs Scash the WA octopus, kipfler potatoes, olives, parsley and red wine vinaigrette and a glass of Chianti.

We finished off with a Tiramisu but forgot to take photo 🙄.

Staff were amazing and food delicious. Would recommend and will definitely go back.

Not food related but have to share photo of grandson 🥰

Congratulations @Scash
What is the little tacker going to call you?

Chilling out in Margaret River. Went to a nice tapas bar called morries on the main street. Aside from a nice range of not so straightforward tapas, they also have a decently sized compendium of not so straightforward coughtails (as well as a decent range of other alcohols, including wine, of course).

I opted for an Aviation coughtail, comprising gin, maraschino liqueur, violette liqueur and lemon.

I opted for three plates: the scallop with dashi beurre blanc and macadamia...

...the snapper cerviche with yellow pepper and coconut leche de tigre, pickled cucumber, radish, jalapeno, sesame and coriander (winner of the night)...

...and a serving of chickpea and polenta chips, served with chipotle mayo (a somewhat lighter take on the usual potato kind).

To round things off rather indulgently, a serving of the "Suzette" cheese, a soft/washed rind number from the local Hall's Family Dairy Farm, served with pear mustard, sliced dates and macadamia.

A very delicious array of food, though the ceviche was the stand out. I did enjoy the flavours of the scallop, but admittedly it was just one. The cheese was a bit more firm than a "soft" cheese might be known for. Given the serving, depending on how much you've had during the night, you could probably comfortably feed 2-3 people with that cheese plate.

This is a fantastic place to spend an evening with friends; unlike many places where the food is quite boring because the venue knows it's the conversation company and the booze that is solely important, this place actually offers some tasty plates that are worth talking about.
