Did anyone else notice points taking a longer time to show up in QR or CX account? I split 12M and it went thru immediately, then had another transfer for a small amount and not in there yet?

Update : Small transfer of 500k points was rejected by QR following the large transfer , Id check your account if you did a large transfer , points are now in neither

I only transferred 300k to QR last night and was in my account instantly.

BA Avios transfer also instant. And was still showing as 2:1 around 8am today.

Might have a little more time to transfer to BA and stretch out the 30 days boost expiry. Did all mine yesterday. Better to be safe than sorry I guess.

Still working as of this morning. Just go to you MR account and if it still says 2:1 you’re probably okay. Make sure you’re not viewing an older cached page. Use the app.

Has anyone ever had a points transfer rejected by a airline ?? Amex can see its rejected but doesnt know when they will show up in my account again

I sent through my transfer to Qatar last night. Amex deducted the points last night immediately and clearly showed the 2:1 transfer rate, but I've yet to receive them in my Privilege Club account.

I hope it doesn't get rejected and then I will be forced to transfer at the 3:1 rate (or not at all).

I sent a few hundred thousand to BA as they are easily transferred to QR afterwards, and you can boost at 300% at you want. They appeared as linked Avios balance in my Privilege Club account instantly after transferring to BA.

I've just been on the phone with Platinum assist, they did say multiple people having the same issue, if you transfer before the change date it will be corrected to the 2:1 even after the devaluation

I guess the lesson from some of the more recent posts is not to leave things until the last minute; a lesson it took me more than 70 years to learn. So much less stressful doing things at least a couple of days early.

I just transferred 47k to my BA account and the rate was 2 - 1 and the avios arrived instantly.

. Transferring to VS is so compelling given discounted SYD-DPS on Garuda in lie-flat J... but don't want to orphan miles
. Transferring to CX is compelling for potential SYD-HKG (although hardly see space HKG-N America)
. Transferring to BA/QR is compelling expecting 90k QR award to Europe in J, but not often enough from SYD.

So I've transferred 20% of my balance to BA, and leaving the rest in Amex

Just tried moving some to TG. Points got deducted on Amex end. Let’s see if it works

I do not know who needs to know this but if you hold an American Express credit card abroad that earns membership rewards points, it is possible once a year to transfer points between the two accounts. This can be particularly useful if the transfer partners are more favourable in one country or another and/or the exchange rate is favourable.

For instance, I hold a German AmEx Blue card and a Canadian AmEx Green card both of which earn membership rewards points. I can transfer my German AmEx points over to my Canadian account at a rate of the Euro to CAD exchange rate (current 1.62 CAD per EUR). This is appealing since AmEx Germany has a transfer rate of 5 membership rewards per 4 British Airways Avios points. Over in Canada, it's a simple 1 to 1 rate. To give you a concrete example of this advantage, suppose I have 5,000 AmEx membership rewards points in Germany. I could convert those 5,000 points over to British Airways and receive 4,000 Avios points. However, if I were to transfer the 5,000 points over to Canada, that would become 8,100 membership rewards points which in turn can be converted to 8100 Avios points. I don't know about you folks but I'd take the 8,100 Avios points over the 5,000 Avios points all things being equal.

Now of course this supposes that you hold an overseas AmEx credit card that earns Membership Rewards points. In my case I was lucky having grown up most of my life in Canada, I hold several cards one of which is the no annual fee AmEx Green card. But it's something to keep in mind if you have the option as it effectively makes these devaluations irrelevant.

Another here with a transfer rejected by Qatar. Going into the My Redemptions section of MR, and manually searching for dates that include today (as today isn't visible automatically, for some reason), shows the status of the redemption is "TI22" where it would normally say "Completed".

Online chat confirms transfer rejected by partner and they've offered to investigate (and hopefully, resolve, honouring the current 2:1 redemption rate). I asked if they could just give the Amex points back immediately so that I could transfer to BA instead (to get them as Avios in one way or another), but they said they have to raise the ticket anyway, so I suggested sorting the transfer to Qatar would be best if they can.

Long story short, maybe try sending your points to BA, while the rate is still 2:1 online! I'd made a couple of other transfers to Qatar this week from the same account (one bulk transfer before I forgot, and another smaller transfer over the weekend when extra points posted), so I guess the system doesn't like that many inbound transfers in a short period.

My points 500k did bounce back into my MR account , I was told to wait and amex will facilitate the transfer to QR to ensure the correct rate of transfer
