Just wondering if anyone is having issues booking J seat for Mel-Sin for 31 July 26? Is it that it’s not loaded by partner airline (SQ) ? I was online just after 8 am Singapore time. What has been frequent users of this Aeroplan experience been? Thanks. Hoping to avoid revenue as I’ve just bought some points for a European trip next year in Aug.

Not sure of the exact release date… should be 355 days IIRC.

Another option if flying to europe is to take the Virgin flight operated by Qatar non-stop to doha, and connecting from there to anywhere in Europe with someone like Turkish.

Yes I am having the same problem. I have been tracking flights from Mel-JNB ( J ) for the last month and they have been available on Aeroplan like clockwork. But just yesterday they all disappeared and I cannot find any J flights on SQ out of Mel or Syd. Anyone have any ideas ?

Air mauritius? Wednesday and Sunday from MEL-MRU, VA connects. Should connect onwards on Sundays to JNB.

Singapore are blocking some flights from and to Australia for some reason on their own FF program which flows through to Aeroplan. I cannot get SIN to BNE in July next yearm had to go to ADL

Oh I think you might have missed this as my friend did manage to secure BNE to SIN on the weekend for end July. It was there. There was decent availability.. Maybe they have now twigged in to this and blocked all outward bound 😢

was a possibility if I could get over a self imposed rule of no ME but this time I need to connect in SIN as going on to LHR on my fav cabin when I get the chance 🥂🥳

Was really hyped for Aeroplan as I could buy the points but found the ANA business class has only 1 seat.

Really need 2 seats but can't risk waiting for availability.

Phantom availability is a real problem at the moment of VA and TK flights. As per other thread SQ all but gone
I did a random date MEL-SIN-BKK 4 June… available in business. Connecting flights from SYD also available on VA.

Other dates I tried towards the release date… Oct 21st, 22nd, 23rd… available every day on SQ business, at least one seat.

Try other cities certainly nothing to Brisbane directly

And last week it was mostly ex BNE that was available… maybe snapped up?
I think there are bigger issues. Turkish came back on Aeroplan last week you could now see availability. Error codes galore. Rang 2 hour hold but agent could see it book it confirm payment but not ticket it. Ticketing team could not do it but they sent me a link and I could then put in cc details again and it worked then. What a journey but worth it. Lesson if you are having issues with final steps ring and be patient

New to Aeroplan and can't get it to look at TG. For BKK - SYD it gives SQ and asiana as air lines to choose from. For SIN - BNE t is SQAI and VA.
For BKK- SYD I looked at dates that had availability in Y on TG though Avianca- ie dates I could get through to the payments page. Still TG didn;t come up as an option. Phantom availability errors out on the go to payment page.
What am I doing wrong?

Nothing!

Aeroplan displays available seats, so if TG doesn’t show, it’s not available.

The exception is Turkish Airlines… if you can find TK availability on UA, there’s a reasonable chance Aeroplan can book it by phone.

TG has the best availability the few days before travel.

Funny enough in the last 18 months we have done 3 MEL-BKK flights with TG in J for 2 pax all booked around 4-6 months out but recently I’ve found absolutely nothing unfortunately.
A pity because the midnight flight out of MEL suits us the best as I can get a full day of work in and jump on a flight to MEL.

Looking out to Oct/Nov 2026 (ie when the calendar opens up) the only SQ J availability on Aeroplan out of East coast Australia (SYD/MEL/BNE/ADL) to SIN is SQ248 from MEL. Leavings 0555/0655 from MEL and arrives 1145.

A number of days there's availability on Velocity out of BNE/ADL but not on Aeroplan. This seems to suggest SQ are throttling availability specifically to Aeroplan.

There is zero availability from SIN to E coast Australia over this period. It's completely disappeared.

Pretty sad - there is availability ex-CNS and DRW but not what one is looking for - also ex-SIN to anyplace in Europe has zero availability in J. SIGH !! Is the AC party over?
Think this partly coincides with SQ Saver availability for KrisFlyer members also getting worse since the recent changes.

Not the sure fire shot it used to be and this clearly has a flow on effect on availability to other programs. You can actually find a bit of availability from SYD earlier in the year for example.

AC isn't anywhere near what it used to be. TG flights to/from BKK seem pretty reliable for 45k points up to 6-8 weeks out (though this is understandably diminished over the Xmas holidays). Some last minute ANA availability with 45k points SYD - HND too.

Aside from that I can't see much use to/from Australia, especially if needing to plan ahead more than a few weeks.
