Then Tokelau...So far, my wildcard destination next year that I'm excited about is Niue. I love exploring random islands in the oceans and this one looks like it will fit the bill nicely.
I still owe the forum a trip report from Nauru Airlines' Island Hoper as well.
And one day to Pitcairn! Then Tokelau...
Curious, how are you going about booking WBC tickets? I heard they're not the easiest things to get as a non-Japan resident. Or maybe I heard wrong; tiaWe loved Tokyo so much this year we've booked the sequel next March - though we are going to make this a bit of a broader Japan trip by also including Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima (plus another day trip to Nagoya to visit Studio Gibli Park).
We missed out on a baseball match at Tokyo Dome this year (we got to a Swallows game at Meiji Jingu Stadium instead), but this time we'll be catching 1-2 Team Australia matches at the World Baseball Classic at Tokyo Dome.

Sorry for the double up ,black friday frenzy must have hit the computer.None for me as yet .However ,having adult children OS and with family in different parts of this wide brown land I will most likely do some. Oh! then there is work probably a couple of domestic circle trips.
I jumped on a few airline websites , its black friday feeding frenzy out there.

With the new security scanners it might be better... I used to fly there weekly and would avoid at all costs, but had no choice. So yes, what you heard was correct. For only 1 departure to save 2k I'd say yes.We 'have ' to be in the UK in August/September next year - a family reunion on my wifes German side. Adopting our usual method of flying cheaply to Singapore and then getting a J flight from there it seems that flying in/out of Manchester instead of London could save close to $2,000 or more between the two of us. I have seen plenty of reports disparaging Manchester Airport but is it $2,000 worse than LHR? We would probably have visited Manchester during our trip anyway.
Thanks. It seems the transport options into the city are pretty good with a train every 10 minutes and a 20 minute trip into town.We flew into MAN on our last trip. Not a wonderful place but certainly not bad.
What about a trip through the Baltic states? I have recently returned from visits to Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius and Kaunas and would recommend them all.Just booked a few weeks again in Denmark in June to see fam. Nested ten days in Helsinki
Any ideas?
One suggestion is for a day trip by ferry to Tallinn in Estonia. It takes around 2 hours to cross over the Gulf of Finland. Tallinn is well worth a visit for at least a day but it would also probably be worthwhile spending a couple of nights there.Just booked a few weeks again in Denmark in June to see fam. Any ideas for Helsinki as base?

Another nice day trip is to the Suomenlinna Sea Fortess. It is only a short trip on the local commuter ferries.
