Kris+ app

There's a promo running until 30 September: 10 miles per $1 spent with Kris+ in Australia

I also earned another 100 miles by booking a participating restaurant with Quandoo:

15 miles per dollar in Sydney and Melbourne for all partners until October 31

Time to see how many plates of char kway teow I can eat in a month ...

My referral code is P211081
We would both get 500 krispay miles.

I'm in Singapore just now and used it in a restaurant tonight for the first time, which was pretty easy.

Also used it for a transfer on Pelago.

Living in Qld I had never had a chance to use it before.

If I was in Melbourne I would put on my stretchy pants and go to this feast to try and win 60k points! To transfer to KF.

I love Singaporean food. Plus it's 15 ppd on the price of the ticket anyway.

It's Singaporean food like you've never had before at ARU

For one night only, indulge in a nine-course exquisite feast where the flavours of Singapore meet Aru's modern, wood-fired touch. Skate wing with Assam broth, beef short rib satay, grilled squid with sambal belcan and native Australian accents, and more.

One lucky diner on the night will walk away with an epic prize of 60,000 points on Kris+.

If you love great food and travel, don’t wait — grab your tickets now! Limited seats available!

Date: Wednesday 22 October, 6:30pm
Price: $168 per ticket

This was mentioned by the SQ rep recently at the Melbourne meetup dinner (hello if you are reading!), so I downloaded and had a quick look through the offers on the app

Feature-wise, being able to sort nearby offers via map seems handy, similar to AMEX Nearby Offers. The current points earn rate of 10 miles per $ is better than points earning credit cards, but overall strikes as another app one would need to remember to open and check for offers, a large chunk of which are in the discretionary dining and retail category

Can anyone who has used the app recently report if it is is any less hassle now to earn/redeem by scanning merchant QR?

Using a similar system with ShopBack was always a pain. Sometimes merchants couldn't get their end of the app to work or discounts just couldn't be applied. The extra time taken to apply the offer meant standing at the counter longer and holding up any people behind you. The "bother" factor for a few points/miles fades quickly

Most Asian restaurants I went to had the QR code out. Non-Asian restaurants sometimes required training from management. That being said, I've come across three places in Sydney (Mido Mart, Killiney Kopitiam and Terrace on the Domain) who were advertised as accepting Kris+, only to say they were no longer participating or had issues using the QR code.

I'd bought a couple of the discounted vouchers and they were fairly easy to use at a cafe and restaurant, even using both the voucher then additional payment via app.
