Qantas Abandons Haneda Slots - Unused

Just got a time change notification from Qantas on my HND-SYD leg next June.

Arrival is 5min later.

Surely that would be grounds for a free change of flights to something more suitable (read: "lucrative") or at the very least, some FF points as compensation....?

I am waiting to see the outrage expressed via a letter to the editor in the SMH in coming weeks, it’s a scandal compared to the issues you normally read about

Dear Sir,

We recently booked a trip to the Orient on Qantas and have been disappointed to see how standards have dropped. Not only did they change the time of our flight by 5 minutes, they didn't even have the courtesy to notify us via telegram. They sent something called an email.

Back in the good old days when we had 38 hour smoke-filled flights to London with the glorious opportunity to have 5 stops including Ceylon and Damascus they would never have the audacity to have a schedule change. And if they did, the Minister himself would write to you to apologise.
