Yep - Me too.
Any downsides to using the Reserve ?

Pros and cons;
+ Interest free period is much longer
+ Duplicate offers w/ plat charge (for example, last month I had a work trip and split the hotel bill across 2 cards, 2x $100 credits back instead of just one from the charge)
+ Offers that I don't get on my charge, ie this bonus on foreign spend offer, the sniip offers etc

- No FHR benefits
- Worse insurance

Personal downside for me: the limit on my reserve is 3k as I opted for the minimum, vs my plat has approved me up to 50k so far. Maybe will call them to raise it, although depressingly I have an upcoming FHR booking overseas which I need to pay for with my plat. Would've pretty much maxed out this offer for me.

Things like the duplicate hotel offers really increase the value proposition of the plat charge.

I received it on my card even though I'd used it for the first time on 2 smallish foreign currency transactions 2 months ago

FWIW I ran maybe 4-5k through my plat overseas earlier this year which is likely why I am not being targeted for it. Wonder what the threshold is.

Disappointed not to see the Foreign Spend offer on Qantas Ultimate Amex- maybe because i benefited last promo

Got it on mine because I never use amex for foreign currency transactions.
Bonus 2 qf points per AUD equivalent spent works out to be 3.25 qf points / $ spent, or 0.92c per point after taking into account the 3% fx fee.

QF ult holders always seem to be the winner when it comes to bonus point offers! Amex seems oddly stingy with their MRP vs QF points.
