What cheeses me off

I might be totally out of touch but listed this on Airtasker and apart from one $40 quote which reflects my budget Ive had quotes of $160, $250 and $350.

Assuming they charge $20-$30/hour that's a lot of hours.
I am not sure you would be prepared to work for $20-$30 an hr? Are you happy to pay for their travel time?

The Serendib lounge in CMB has a grea4 door. Quite busy that day. Quite bright, views of planes andbs decent spread of food and reasonable booze. Did manage to leave my phone charger behind though

CMB-LHR was on an A330-300

Seats were lie-flat and comfortable but looked a little tired

Not as many pics as I'd hoped but phone gave out

Service good and food tasty
You do know this is the "What cheeses me off thread", right?

It's mentioned on their website which is why I quoted that number. I've now had 2 x $160 quotes and a $460 quote which is ridiculous.

The Ikea one mentions assembly from $40. I cannot imagine any of my 4 flatpacks taking more than 30-45min each.

Anyway it is what it is. Im tempted to open up box and try myself.

Maybe their quotes are just factoring in the time and effort in working out why they have a leftover screw/nail/nut/peg etc from each piece of furniture and whether or not it was a critical piece that they missed during installation? 🤔 Or perhaps that's just an exclusive part of the Ikea build process. 😜

Does it include a side of meatballs in the cost (+GST)

After my last cataract surgery i had to get new glasses. The place I go to tends to carry more expensive lines.
As they reading glasses I picked some from a what I thought was a good brand, Oakley. I was given hard cases and soft bags for them.
I don't like the hard cases as they are too bulky and tend just to put them in the bag in my pocket, I broke one of the arms removing them from my pocket.
Took the other pair overseas with me and the same thing happened about a week in, I always carry a pair of cheapie +2's, so reading was not really an issue.
Took them both in to the optometrist today, not really expecting much, which is what I got. User error, I should have been using the hard case.
Won't be going back there, I'm hoping I can get the lens put into new frames.
I wanted the cheapest frames available when I had these ones prescribed, but as I said, they only seem to carry higher priced ones.

Ahh, you see I like the hard cases. We ordered new glasses this morning (just Specsavvers) and I know they will come with those coughpy felt covered cardboard case specsavers provide universally now.

Stupid drivers

In the straight ahead lane they are sometimes are car length apart and so you can't get past them to get in the turn right lane and you see the turn right light go green then red before you get to it.

Another one - I'd love to be stereotypical and say sex and nationality but I'll probably get banned. Parked so far back from the front of the turn right lane so the sensors didn't pick up the car and sat there for two light changes (right turn on green arrow only). I kept nudging forward and they finally got close enough

Sigh and harrumph

Don't be afraid to sound your horn. Yes I know it is not legal to do so but ... well honestly some need a rocket.
