I was in Valencia in September last year, including in the rice growing areas which are in wetlands. There were massive floods in October, not long after we had left. I feel so sorry for the locals.

Will do. I had the same dilemma but we’re only on the island for a couple of days so decided closer to the airport was better. I think you made the right choice.

Plenty of water courtesy of the big rain dump last week. Kalgoorlie's wettest October day on record - 60mm to 0900h Monday 6 October. We were overnighting in Kalgoorlie Sunday night and the steady, soaking rain did not stop.
