I will be flying SYD to DOH in Business Class and then DOH to CAI in Economy on two separate bookings with Qatar Airways, booked with Velocity points. Am I eligible for lounge access in DOHA? the 2nd leg doesn't leave until 8am the next day:(

If you have any Velocity (or oneworld) status you may have access to the Platinum/Gold lounges at DOH.

No status unfortunately.. i am velocity silver (downgraded from gold) but i dont think it will give me any benefits

thanks. I guess my only option is to find a cheap hotel room for the stop over then? i tried Qtr Airway transit hotel but got rejected as the two need to be on one single ticket:(
