This is mainly for the migrated Citibank cards, being used for international ATM cash withdrawals.
I got this email earlier in the month:

Overseas access fees

From 5 November 2025, overseas access fees (as outlined below) will no longer be waived for NAB Classic Banking accounts opened as part of the migration from Citi to NAB. This means you'll start paying the following standard overseas access fees where applicable:
  • ATM cash withdrawal – $5 per withdrawal
  • Balance enquiry – $1 per enquiry
  • International transaction fee – 3.5% of the Australian dollar amount charged when an international transaction is posted (completed) to your account

Where to from here, for fee free ATM withdrawals using the current Visa/MC rate?

I've gone to Wise but they do limit the free withdrawal to $350AUD a month. (Let me know if you need a referral)
Will use this and maybe apply for the bankwest qf CC card.

My go to used to be Citibank and ANZ adventure travel - cancelled this when they switch the terms for sign up bonuses.

ING, Macquarie, GSB, Suncorp, ME Bank, Up and uBank are the ones I've got.

Wow I must have missed this, so with deposit requirements and now no overseas benefit no point in keeping this account.

I hope Macquarie stays its course.

Plenty of options

I still have ING for the Savings Maximiser but migrating main travel DC from UBank to Macquarie.

I have an "Up" card - just load it via PayID via another mainline bank account, then withdraw at basically spot rate at overseas ATMs.
Wise is good too but its 2 withdrawals/month at a cap of AUD 350 can be a bit restrictive (if you need access to a lot of cash).
Fortunately a lot of places accept card so it's not an issue (apart from tipping in the US which still needs low denomination bills).

Even that is being dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Saw a lot more tap POS machines in bars recently in HNL. About to head back to the States next week. Will be interesting see how the mainland has progressed over the last year or two.

Thanks for the links, I'll have a look.
This came up in the Bankwest thread (for the recently migrated Qantas transaction account, which is now the Easy transaction account) - has anyone had experience with the BW Easy transaction account for international ATM withdrawals? The good feature is that there is no minimum monthly deposit, unlike the old Qantas transaction account.
