Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

@DejaBrew got excellent value @FlyingKangaroo
Got to meet some lovely folk Flounging 😉

That salt and pepper squid remains ever elusive to me (missed last week's offer for a pass in the thread by about 2 minutes because I was... cleaning the cat's litter box), so indeed I must not know what I'm missing. 😉

He's sitting next to me now and he may be unaware of it but I am absolutely still holding a grudge.

Genuinely curious if you don't mind me asking--- if you're self-funding this, do you actually feel you get more value than you put in? Even when you're nearing ~5c/SC as I know this run can do, it's a lot of money.

Is the aim lifetime status?
Fair question, and no problems at all. :)

This particular run was focused purely at earn towards LT status (trying to fast track and hit LTG before any "enhancements" to the current setup) and is way more than what I'd normally do. In terms of cost, this one worked out to be somewhere around $2.8/SC so it was certainly on the cheaper end of these sorts of runs. I had already retained WP prior to commencing this run, and the "byproduct" of these extra SC was that I ticked over to P1 (which was not the goal, but I'll take it all the same).

I feel I'm getting more bang for buck out of the program than I used to, but that's purely a result of better understanding how to exploit the benefits and play the game. Is it true value for money? Debatable. But it certainly has come in handy for my travels over the last few years.

I am having the delayed DSC crediting issue mentioned on this thread too.

PNR 1: fight club booking
SEP 4th SYD > SIN Normal SC posted same day - DSC not credited as of SEP 9th
SEP 7th SIN > SYD Normal SC posted same day - DSC not credited as of SEP 9th

While relating to the most recent DSC offer
PNR2: (booked during sep 25 DSC)
SEP 4th MEL > SYD Normal SC posted same day - DSC not credited as of SEP 9th

Starting to get worried about these 3 trips, especially the SYD <> SIN trip as I booked a higher priced fare for the SC earn.

SEP 4th SYD > SIN Normal SC posted same day - DSC not credited as of SEP 9th
This is in line with my experience. Appreciate where you're coming from re: your concern, but chances are it will post in the next day or so.

SEP 7th SIN > SYD Normal SC posted same day - DSC not credited as of SEP 9th
As above, early days yet. Mine ranged anywhere from late on the next business day to upwards of a week to post.

The initial tranche of DSC for bookings flown early in a given DSC period have a tendency to take a bit longer to appear. Again, wouldn't be overly concerned at this time.

And keep in mind there’s now three simultaneous DSC promos running for this period of travel.

I just took some flights from the first promo that haven’t posted after 48 hours. Not concerned as I have previous flights on the same PNR credited, but quite possibly the whole system is slowed down a bit.

There’s also maintenance on the website tonight which might be a further complication.
