So I will have access to laundry in Italy and I think I’ve got enough clothes till then. Because I’m not going far out of civilisation I can always use a coin/hotel laundry if I have toBig fan of the digital suica cards. Instant top-up means you can almost always leave with a satisfying balance of ¥0.
Curious, for such long HLO trips, what's your plan with laundry?
If you're up for another moderately expensive experiment, try using wired ANC buds?A moderately expensive experiment at $40 AUD — I think I’ll just stick with the yellow foam ones and look slightly silly.
Wired custom molded IEMs are probably the the best solution. But thats another level of expense. No ANC can really match up to custom mold.If you're up for another moderately expensive experiment, try using wired ANC buds?
ANC is nearly as good as Airpod Pros, but you won't have to worry about losing them underneath the seat mechanism if they fall off mid sleep.
From my research of looking for wired ANC earphones everywhere, I think most brands just smack their logo on the same white label pair. $40 rrp, often goes on sale/stack with vouchers.

Good to get another take on loop earbuds. Won't be getting them anytime soon (had considered for concerts but will stick to etymotic)
I believe the BA lounge went over some renovations. They have a separate F section inside for BA F pax (not sure about QF F).Whilst food was limited - possibly due to the time of flights, there was Satay. Less impressive was the $28 champagne :/ But I guess it is a combined J/F lounge

Is January still recent?perhaps recently renovated?
Concorde Dining is for BA F pax, GGL, Concorde Room card holders and Concierge Key travelling oneworld any class. They have a separate F section inside for BA F pax (not sure about QF F).
Yeah as RB001 pointed out it’s only for their VIPs (and AA Concierge?) AA’s first class dining is similar.Wired custom molded IEMs are probably the the best solution. But thats another level of expense. No ANC can really match up to custom mold.

Join me on my latest adventure: a DONE4 ex-Japan clocking ~60,000 miles—about 2.5 laps of the globe (including positioning). For the avgeeks, I’ll share J-class takes on JL, QF, BA, AA and AS, plus how I booked what’s turned out to be an extremely cost-effective ticket. Also, stand by for the obligatory lounge tours and inflight food reviews.
Not every sector is glamorous—some are pure SC runs (multiple AUS–NZ hops and a few “touch the edges of the US without leaving the airport” specials). But it’s not all for status: I’ve lined up proper stops in New York, London and Italy, and there may be a cheeky train review.
I’ve flown most of these carriers before, but Alaska Airlines (to ANC) is new to me, and I’ve never done AA long-haul (that’ll be LAX–LHR).
Accommodation is mostly hotels with a couple of Airbnbs in Italy. It’s a month-long journey kicking off today at the AFF Masterclass. No Michelin-starred bookings (yet), but I won’t be slumming it. Hotels are mainly IHG and Accor, so expect reiews of rooms and gyms.
Also quick edit to mention that I will be doing this as a HCO - so we'll see how well I'm dressing in a month!
Flights from HND–HND are the 16 DONE4 segments; anything before/after is a points-booked positioning leg.
