As a regular reader of AFF, I haven't seen this mentioned here, so I thought I'd make an announcement. I booked an international Jetstar economy flex plus bundle recently, and noticed that I didn't get awarded the economy flex points and status credits as the product had led me to believe. Instead I was awarded the regular economy points and status credits. I have phoned QANTAS frequent flyer, and they have confirmed that is correct - Jetstar flexible economy fairs only earn at the economy rate.

I feel like misleading advertising, and I wasted my time with this issue. Hopefully others don't get misled and waste their time on the phone to QANTAS for this issue.

Yes, I was told it was like this since 2024. Do you think it's intuitive or misleading?
It's not intuitive, but neither was earning Flex Economy for MH J (or F when they had it),
Or the similarly complications for JL Domestic upgrade fares.

Neither. It was very well mentioned when the bundles changed and in all honesty it made sense. Jetstar Max bundle was actually a ridiculous SC earner before the change for the pricing if you could handle flying JQ economy.

Also when booking on the JQ site and selecting the bundles it shows you exactly your earn rate and amount.

Where did you see that? I didn't see it when I booked my flight. See below screenshot for vague mention about earning loyalty points.

Because it didn't appear anywhere, I confirmed the earn rate by using the QANTAS points calculator, where I selected Jetstar flexible economy. I note that you don't select a Jetstar bundle in the calculator, but rather you select cabin class and whether it's flexible.

Thanks for showing that. I get a different screen to yours. I've edited my above post to show screenshots.

That's the Bangkok-Brisbane route. It's a direct flight marketed and operated by Jetstar Airways Australia.

How is it that we get two different screens Airwin?

Edit: I think I know why...

It seems that they don't show this information when on jetstar.com/th/eh but they do show this information on jetstar.com/au/en

I can understand how you would form the opinion that it's not misleading if you're accessing the Australian version of the web site. Having said that, I still maintain the opinion that the web site is misleading to those accessing it from Thailand.
