Unfortunately, most of the above that I read are applicable. Not sure if it was mentioned however turning up in a city (for me most likely in the US) and totally forgetting what city you are in when you get in the cab/UBER and have to refer to travel docs

• When you get invited to trivia event(s) solely for your knowledge of airline and airport IATA codes, aircraft models etc, rather than what you bring socially or otherwise to the table
• When you get asked on Live Chat "Are you in the Travel Industry" after using GDS lingo when asking for itineraries/eTickets to be emailed to you

Haha yes - whenever friends/family ask "hey where are your next travels taking you" and your respond "heading to MXP/BCN via SIN then heading back via IST" they look at you like you're speaking in tongues
And then to top it off say "sitting in 11 Delta/Foxtrot for the long hauls"
