Points club issues

Hi all,

Has anyone had issues with their points club status dates displaying incorrectly in their account?

I attained points club status for the second year in a row in July and my account is incorrectly showing it started in Oct 23. When I called Qantas they refused to recognise that I had first got points club in July 23 and then again in July 24. Any hot tips on how to rectify it would be greatly appreciated!

Points club years always align with your FF year. Im guessing your FF year starts 1-Oct.

It doesn't matter what month you achieve or renew PC status, it always expires the on the last day of your next FF year.

My FF year starts 1-Aug; I requalified for PC in April 24 so my expiry shows as 31-Jul 2025; if I requalify again before 31-Jul-25 it will change to 31-Jul-26.

To my understanding only VA has a system where the dates of your FF year move.

I am not sure it matters when you first achieved it. It's all aligned with your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership year.

Thanks for the explanation! I’m still a little confused how it works then if I qualified in July 23 for the first time and then requalified in July 24 for the second time but it is technically only valid for 3 months until Oct 24 and I do not get the benefits for requalifying. There doesn’t seem much point in keeping the status

It will be valid for your next membership year. Benefits will be awarded after your renewal date (extensions are handled differently to attainment in this regard)

No it will remain valid until Oct 25 so you will get 15 months of benefit even if you don't requalify again.

When you requalify the hotel and wine vouchers are not awarded until the start of the following FF year. So you should see the next set of vouchers in the first week of Oct (and they will be vaild for 12 months from then).

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue. At the end of my Membership year in March 2024 I had to phone Qantas, because my PC status wasn't reflecting (despite retaining it). They manually adjusted it in May 2024 (a bit later) and I got my vouchers and lounge invitations etc... However, it seems they adjusted the PC status to expire in March 2026 (instead of March 2025 as they should have). I wouldn't complain if it was PC+ but PC doesn't really provide any benefits and, come March 2025 (where I had in the previous year again had enough points to retain PC), no vouchers, no lounge invitations because of the previous mistake in the manual adjustment showing status valid until March 2025. It's been a nightmare trying to explain this to the call centre and nothing happens despite my calls. They just say you retained it early... and I have to say no I didn't get sufficient points in 40 days to make PC, that was for the previous year... and they've mistakenly extended it... I just want the vouchers and lounge invitations. Any advice appreciated!

I obtained PC around May/June this year (2025) and is acknowledged as such on my qff account.

Oddly, unlike prior years I never received any of the "advertised" benefits within the stipulated fortnight of attaining PC(2025). On ringing 131113 and again via 131313 I was told that I'll be getting the benefits 2 weeks into the following membership year (November 2025). So either the staff are misinformed or benefits cannot be allocated within 12 months of prior allocation, notwithstanding PC tier being reached much earlier in this membership year (so within 12 months of reaching the tier previously).

No big deal but now am quite trepidatious of what treatment I can expect on far more serious issues

Assume you're referring to vouchers?

Thanks and appreciated.

Yes, on attaining the Points Club tier you should receive 2 lounge passes (amongst other entitlements) which usually pop up on your QFF account to use, transfer or whatever. Also along with a wine selection voucher and an accomodation voucher. Have received none as yet, notwithstanding reaching the PC tier back in May.

Subsequent years you receive the benefits a couple of weeks after your QFF anniversary. So expect them in Nov 2025.

My anniversary just ticked over, but I retained PC months ago. The lounge passes were there pretty much straight away but vouchers will come later this month.

Actually, my vouchers are showing in my dashboard this morning.

Just received the response below (in quotes) from Qantas FF this am, which is an exemplary turn around time to my query/complaint given it was only lodged yesterday. So guessing with the inaugural attainment of the PC tier you’re rewarded within two weeks but on following occasions the awarding of rewards falls into your ” following Membership Year”.

And SYD, could be wrong but I’m pretty sure i did receive wine and accomodation vouchers on attaining PC(2025) in May, but soon enough after they weren’t on account.

Oh well, let’s see what comes November.
