As reported on Australian Aviation.

But why? 🤷‍♂️

Can I get credit for the AN miles I lost? 😂

“It was a pioneer of great service – they were the first ones to bring business class to Australia – and they were loved by their customers,” he said.

As I understand it, that development belongs to Qantas,

You can imagine the surprise I had in the UK seeing some news on another website on this. They didn’t mention how the Ansett name had been revived but put glorious references to the airline and lots of Ansett aircraft pics. A bit of clickbait?

Ansett might have been first to introduce it domestically (before TAA did), in between First and Economy? With of course Qantas at that time only operating internationally. So a little of poetic license as Qantas did bring business class to Australia (and the world), just not within Australia.

They both had First (2x rows) and variable rows of J for quite some time.

They then both ditched “First” for BusinessFirst - which was easy to do under the dualopoly….

Reminds me that in Seoul earlier this year I noticed there was a Pan Am store selling branded clothing and accessories - that defunct airline has been resurrected there as a fashion label.

They have a store in Gangnam.

Yes, but again why? 🤷‍♂️

Unless Pam Ann made an impression?

So the guy seems to have acquired Ansett.travel domain, and some TM (not clear what category, or what countries)
(Suspect .travel didn't even exist when Ansett operated)

Ansett.com.au seems to still link to a Korda Mentha site.
And Ansett.com goes to a spare parts operation that I believe was bought out of administration and took/licensed some IP.
