Qantas Points Club Discussion

Still no Wine or Hotel voucher. Did anyone with June/July status year change received it yet? I maintained Points Club but still waiting for vouchers to appear in my Qantas account

About 10k short of an end-September target to retain PC, after projected CC points earn. Don't drink so wine's not an option for me, and hoping to save my woolies points (more than I need this year) to transfer for next year's PC retain.
Any other quick-crediting 10k offers anyone has seen recently or could recommend?

Alas, Woolies is your best bet unless you can sneak in some cheeky QF Hotel / AirBnB stays - checking in before end of August.

And @exceladdict taking advantage of the bonus points offer - spend $500 - get 2,000 points etc

I stumped up for wine with bonus points before end of June.

According to the Qantas site when you attain PC
"To receive your voucher simply check your 'marketing and advertising' preferences to ensure you're subscribed to 'Membership status and benefits' emails. Your voucher will be emailed to you and available in My Account within 21 days of attaining Points Club."
Does this mean, as implied, that you will get the voucher in My Account even if you don't have the email preference right? Mrs Rich attained PC 2 days ago but didn't receive an email to say she had attained PC (from memory that comes immediately). I saw she didn't have the marketing and advertising emails turned on.

Do you happen to have some Qantas Business Rewards points? I have a QBR account, but rarely accumulate points in it. But I do have about 19K points sitting there and that is buffer for end-of-year Points Club top-up if needed. QBR requires an ABN so not available to everyone. And many of my QBR points have accumulated over time from Qantas Wines purchases, so no help for non-wine purchasers.

An option may be to order some wine and give away to family/friends as birthday/Christmas/Thank-You gifts.

I obtained Points Club Plus back in April.
When I chased for vouchers, was told they are not released until your "year" rolls over and within 21 days of that roll-over.
I rolled into new year on 1 July, and here we are 25 days in - and still no vouchers.
At present I would say "don't hold your breath waiting for vouchers from Qantas"

Purchase gift cards at Qantas Marketplace | Shop Online - Earn or Use Points| Even better if you can pay with a credit card that earns bonus points on QF spend.

Consider buying wine and using it as a gift?

I had forgotten about these bonuses and logged in yesterday to see. And - yes indeed they are there on the site in plain sight on the points club page; https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/my-account/points-club.html

I'm not registered for marketing material so I presume it works as you expect. I can't think why it wouldn't though, if you are like me, it would be easy to forget without notification!!

Good call - no travel planned but you never know. And yeah, hoping to avoid converting the extra woolies points, but was hoping to save those for a dent in next year.

I frustratingly have 2,900 QBR points and some due from a hotel stay early July - if that lands, it might push me over the 3000 to get me to the transfer minimum!

Not sure about QBR @exceladdict but hotel stays for we regular folk, count as,at date of stay, not date posted if that helps.

Neither base nor QBR points have come through from this one but yeah, will need them to land in QBR to then transfer from QBR over to my normal qff account before the membership year ends.
Will probably assume I need a different angle, in case this doesn't come through!

I wonder if you can start a new Rewards account and get some decent bonus offers or the gift cards someone suggested upthread. It might be worth trying rather than transferring all your Rewards points over this Qantas year. I am not sure how you'd go with another account in the same name and linked to the same FF number and all that as I haven't tried it (yet).

A bit nervous to risk the qantas or edr balances on this, as I'm hoping to claim them next year. But thanks for the suggestion.
