Anyone had Status Comp with Velocity?

I'm going to be about 5000 SC short of gold upon renewal, so i'm curious to know if anyone has been comped and if so - how short you were from the 50,000 mark?

Maybe you need to buy something via the Store (most are 2-5 points/$)?

A colleague was recently bumped up to gold when he was about 5,000 short, so you might be in luck.

Well thats good news.... although I will still count it as a bonus if I get it, and I won't hold my breath.

Friend of mine was around 10k SCs short of Gold, but she got comped Gold. Not easy to judge the merits of this one, though, since it more or less came out of the damage control during the "Surprise! You've turned Gold!" stuff-up.

She didn't say anything to Velocity regarding the stuff-up or about how "close" she was; she flies as part of her work (dragline engineer for a mining company), but even with her travel she wouldn't make Gold on her own before her anniversary.

I got comped gold in the washup of the email brouhaha but have easily qualified since. Last year I was only 4k short but no comp so maybe it is only when they run a "targeted" program that they comp.

My first year as Velocity gold was a comp up from silver status (2-3 months after they introduced status tiers)...

I think I was about 1,000 SC's short of gold at the time of my anniversary.
