I'm on QF839 on Sunday morning leaving at 0220 - will I be able to hang around in the QF club from around 2300? Bit tricky to find a definitive answer online (some suggest will close at 0030?) - keen to hear from someone with real world experience!

Cheers

The hours listed on the Qantas web site are definitive; it says: "One hour before each Qantas operated service until last Qantas departure." In my experience this is followed, probably you are seeing different times in old reviews as the times of departure have changed around quite a bit recently.

The DRW lounge usually reopens 2 hours before the late night QF flight even though the website says 60 minutes. I've been unlucky enough to be on the 1.30AM departure a few times...

I saw that the BNE and SYD flights are earlier (1:15AM and 1:30AM), so I guess the lounge will open around 11:30PM.
