Gym in an airport?!

AA Admirals Lounge in DFW Terminal A had a small room with some treadmills/rowers around 8 years ago.

Not sure if it's still there, but I enjoyed a jog/shower before jumping onto the QF8.

This was taken back in 2015. I'd be keen to know if it's still there.....?

The Gym Pod at Changi was a great spot to burn off some energy before a long haul flight. It’s outside T2 but was well airconditioned and had enough to get me going for a decent bit of strength training session. Was maybe $15AUD for an hour and it was private to me during that window. Think if you use the showers in the Hub facility next door, it’s an extra $5SGD including towels.

Treadmills in the departure lounges would be excellent. Get the steps up and the legs tired before hopping on the plane. (Not running/joggjng/sweating though…).

Resulting in happier passsengers on board too👌🏻

This thread come to mind when I was in T1 arrivals in SYD this morning. Anytime Fitness coming soon! Great way to end a long-haul flight??

You would have enough time for a decent work out whilst you wait for the QF transfer bus though…

Didn't the Qatar J lounge in Qatar have a gym at one point? Might be misremembering but the only downside IMO of flying J/going to the lounge and eating and drinking heaps when travelling is I know I'm going to pay for ths in the gym later.
To paraphrase: "A moment on the lips, ~1.5hrs on the treadmill"
But also... YOLO

Indeed, the Al Mourjan Garden Lounge has a fitness studio - AKA a (basic) gym.

I feel like they missed a trick with that signage. Should read "Anytime Fitness. Arriving anytime now."

I do chuckle about the fact it's located right next to Maccas.

I suspect a lot will simply use it for a shower & change on arrival, they might even sell shower-only access?

Some would use prior to departure, and it could also be a hit with airport staff.

Back in the late 80's I was working out of Pittsburgh and the terminal had a barber and shoe shine stand....very practical to get some basic chores done when there was no lounge to access.
