Yes, but how would you get to it at 04:00 when Immigration doesn't open until 04:30, at the earliest? Unless it's changed quite recently.

Perhaps if you were a transit pax already airside?

Perhaps if QF4 is running early. It's scheduled to land at 0455.

Good news for coffee lovers. A new (not the old machine from the QF lounge) barista coffee machine has been installed in the Emirates lounge by Qantas. Far end (window side near the food/dining area). It was not manned but I approached one of the floor staff and he came over to make it.
Now have to work on getting champagne in the lounge during non Emirates hours. The floor staff confirmed that the French numbers do come out during the Emirates hours (when their own pax are in the lounge). Spoke to the first host to put a word in. Let's see if it happens. I will keep giving this feedback to the QF desk with the hope Qantas might make it happen.

Think you can't. There's a QF staff in front of the escalator guiding people to which lounge they should go to.

I’m sure you can. The staff are just there to warn people who don’t know better!

But if you insist they’ll probably take you in. Subject to capacity constraints.

I imagine if you had 3 or more people with a mix of WP and SG they’re going to let the whole group in to one or the other. I can’t think of another example where a WP can’t self downgrade to the SG lounge.

The Strata Lounge is the ex NZ Lounge spare, they left the shower rooms as they were from the NZ days.

There’s a separate QF desk in the entry area and they are the ones who scan your BP, not EK, so I would assume same rules apply. Not certain though.

Just to confirm, no issues with the kids, Qantas desk as per Justinbrett's advice. Food was actually decent - not the usual EK spread I don't think. Sparkling wine was quartz reef which is a solid drop to be fair. barista in corner. No ice cream fridge though. Overall, a step up from QF's own lounge (for now) and daylight between this and Air NZ's budget school canteen for trans tasman options. (I still am sad EK no longer fly trans tasman - great timing, lounge and planes)

If your PPT flight has a QF (marketed) flight number then you should have access.
